The actor and director Eduard van der Becke began his stage career at the end of the 10s in Wiesbaden where he appeared at the Residenz Theater.
In the 20s followed engagements at different theaters in Berlin where he was also active as a director and author.
He widened his activity field in the 30s when he was also busy for the radio. Among others he was responsible for the broadcast "Bunte Abende".
Eduard van der Becke was also able to impersonate few roles in movies, his first movie was "Familie Möllmann" (16).
His last silent movies came in the 20s into being with the productions "Frauenbeichte, 1. Teil: Die Beichte einer Ausgestossenen" (21) and "Im Glutrausch der Sinne" (22).
