The Norwegian actor Olaf Fjord appeared succuessful in German silent movies since the 20's. The movie "Der Börsenkönig/Der Lügner des Lebens" (20) is probably his first movie at all where he appeared under the name Olaf van der Fjord.
To his most popular movies belong "Monna Vana" (22), "Frauen, die nicht lieben dürfen" (25) and "Der Mann der sich verkauft" (25).

Beside it he acted in other productions like "Mon coeur au ralenti" (28), "Le désir" (28) and "Eroticon" (29).

In the sound film era came only few more productions into being, among them "1914, die letzten Tage vor dem Weltbrand" (30) and "Pan - Das Schicksal des Leutnants Thomas Glahn" (37), which he directed.
