He began his film career in 1919 with Carl Froelich's "Die Verführten" (19) playing the role of Georg Hellwig at the side of Max Adalbert, Else Berna, Rudolf del Zopp, Margarete Kupfer, Frida Richard and Gertrude Welcker.
Afterwards followed appearances in the productions "Das Recht der freien Liebe" (19) with Käthe Richter, Gertrude Welcker, Grit Hegesa, Bruno Eichgrün, Fritz Achterberg and Guido Herzberg, "Der Mann mit der Puppe" (20) with Paul Bildt, Ludwig Hartau and Margarete Schlegel as well as the two part movie "Die Macht des Blutes" (21) directed by Richard Eichberg with Lee Parry, Violetta Napierska, Robert Scholz and Paul Rehkopf.
