. The actress Lina Basquette made her film debut already at the age of 9 with the movies "Shoes" (16) and "The Human Cactus" (16). It followed other child roles in "His Wife's Relatives" (17), "The Star Witness" (17), "The Weaker Vessel" (19) and "Penrod" (22). After a five year lasting interruption she continued her career as an adult with the movies "Serenade" (27), "Wheel of Chance" (28), Cecil B. DeMille's "The Godless Girl" (29) and Frank Capra's "The Younger Generation" (29). In the 30's she appeared in B-movies like "Goldie" (31), "Arizona Terror" (31), "The Midnight Lady" (32), "The Phantom Express" (32), "The Final Hour" (36) and "Four Men and a Prayer" (38). Lina Basquette retired from the film business and merely returned in 1943 for the movie "A Night for Crime" and in 1991 for "Paradise Park". In her private life Lina Basquette devoted the dog breeding and she
could win several prices. She was married nine times altogether, among
others with producer Sam Warner.
