. The acotor Gerald Lawrence was a successful stage actor in the first place. But he also appeared in front of the camera occasionally. He already made his film debut in 1899 in the three-minute-movie "King John", it followed the silent movies "Henry VIII" (11), "The Harbour Lights" (14), "Enoch Arden" (14), "The Romany Rye" (15), "The Grand Babylon Hotel" (16), "A Buch of Violets" (16) and "Carrots" (17). From the 20's came only few more movies itno being, among them "The Fall of a Saint" (20), "The Glorious Adventure" (22) and "The Iron Duke" (34) - his only single. Gerald Lawrence was married with the actresses Lililan Braithwaite, Madge Compton and Fay Davis. His daughter Joyce Carey became also a successful actress. |
