. The actor Jean Chevrier joined the film business in 1937 and he made his debut with "Liberté" (37). In the next years he became established in the film business and he took part in movies like "Trois de Saint-Cyr" (39), "L'émigrante" (40), "L'assassin a peur la nuit" (42), "Messieurs Ludovic" (46), "Le mystérieux Monsieur Sylvain" (47), "La voix du rêve" (48) und "L'escadron blanc" (49) till the end of the 40s. The 50s offered him again many engagements in well-known productions, among them "Messalina" (51), "Horizons sans fin" (53), "Si Versailles m'était conté" (54), "Napoléon" (55), "Ce soir les jupons volent" (56) and "Les trois mousquetaires" (59). From the 60s television became a more important influcence to his career and Chevrier appeared in both TV and cinema productions in those years like "Le gigolo" (60), "Le vergini di Roma" (61), "Le captif" (63), "Phèdre" (68) and the serial "D'Artagnan: Les ferrets" (69). To his last cinematical works belong the TV productions "Lancelot du lac" (70), "La tragédie de Vérone" (72) and the serial "Les rois maudits" (73).
