. The actress Julie Gayet belongs to the most talented actresses of the young French film. Her way to the entertainment became early apparent, at the age of eight she had singing lessons, at the age of fourteen she had acting lessons. After an art and acting study in London she worked temporarily in a circus and took over other different jobs. She get in touch with the film business for the first time as an extra in Kieslowski's "Troi Couleurs: Bleu" (93) and soon Julie Gayet had the breakthrough in the film business. It followed engagements in "L'histoire du garçon qui voulait qu'on l'embrasse" (94), "Les cent et une nuits de Simon Cinéma" (95), "Les menteurs" (96), "Sélect Hôtel" (96), "Play" (98), "Baby Blues" (98) and "Paddy" (99). As an established actress she impersonated very different roles in the next years and worked together with established as well as new coming up directors.
