. The actor Vincent Lindon went to New York in 1979 in order to improve his knowledge of English and to become a musician. At the same time he attended the university of New York and Boston. Two years later he returned to France and worked as a tour organizer for Coluche for the present. He made his film debut in 1983 with "Le faucon" (83), it followed well-known productions like "Notre histoire" (84), "Une vie comme je veux" (85), "37°2 le matin" (85), "Half Moon Street" (86) with Sigourney Weaver, "Dernier été à Tanger" (87) and "L'étudiante" (88) At Sophie Marceau's side. With the movie "Il y a des jours...et des lunes" (90) he acted for the first time under the direction of Claude Lelouch. They cooperated again for "La belle histoire" (92) and "Tout ça...pour ça!" (93). Vincent Lindon was convincing in funny as well as serious roles, to his most popular movies of the 90's belong "La crise" (92), "La haine" (95), "Les victimes" (96), "Fred" (97), "Le septième ciel" (97), "Paparazzi" (98) and "Pas de scandale" (99). To his latest cinematical works belong "Chaos" (01), "Le frère
du guerrier" (02), "Les clefs de bagnole" (03), "La moustache" (05) and
"L'avion" (05).
