Boris Alekin

. The actor Boris Alekin grew up in Russia before he emigrated to Germany in 1921 because of the October Revolution. There he began his artisic career at the theater and he appeared at the Volksbühne in Berlin. Later he went on tour with the "Prague Group" which led him to France and die USA. In USA he also acted on Broadway at the beginning of the 1935. His first movie was "Troika" (30) and after his return from the USA he continued his film career from 1937. He impersonated smaller roles in productions like "Der Mann, der Sherlock Holmes war" (37), "Zu neuen Ufern" (37), "La Habanera" (37), "Rätsel um Beate" (38), "Es leuchten die Sterne" (38) and "Schneider Wibbel" (39). His last cinematical works came at the beginning of the 40s into being with "Trenck, der Pandur" (40), "Friedemann Bach" (41) and "Anschlag auf Baku" (42). When Germany started the raid on Russia in 1941 Boris Alekin he had to serve in the army as a interpreter at the east front. There he became badly injured and shortly afterwards he died at the age on only 38.
