Marie von Bülow 1857 - 1941 |

. The actress Marie von Bülow was born as Marie Schanzer in Vienna. She made her stage debut in Basel in 1875, afterwards followed engagements in Karlsruhe, Danzig and Hamburg. Sie was successful with classic roles which led her to Berlin as well. When she got married with the conductor Hans von Bülow in 1882 she retired from the acting. Only many years after his death she returned to the stage in 1914. One year later followed her first movie "Der ewige Friede" (15), it followed the movie "Ein Ausgestossener" (15) in the same year. Marie von Bülow soon became a demanded movie actress and she took part in numerous movies in the next years. To her well-known productions of those years belong "Der unsichtbare Mensch" (16), "Mein ist die Rache" (16), "Das Bacchanal des Todes" (17), "Lejah" (18), "Das Tagebuch einer Verlorenen" (18), "Eugen Onegin" (19), "Blondes Gift" (19) and "Ut mine stromtid" (19). Her last cinematical works came at the beginning of the 20s into being with "Menschen" (20), "Fridericus Rex" (22) and "Die Sonne von St. Moritz" (23).
