. The actor Hugo Froelich took some acting lessons before he entered the theater where he appeared on different stages. When his brother Carl Froelich became a famous movie director Hugo Froelich was engaged by him as an actor for few movies. To these works of those years belong "Der Tänzer" (19), "Arme Thea" (19) and "Die Brüder Karamasoff" (20). After a longer interruption he continued his film career in front of the camera and he again normally took part in movies of his brothers. To his well-known movies belong "Der Choral von Leuthen" (33), "Reifende Jugend" (33), "Krach um Jolanthe" (34), "Traumulus" (36), "Der Raub der Sabinerinnen" (36), "Wenn wir alle Engel wären" (36), "Die Umwege des schönen Karl" (38) and "Es war eine rauschende Ballnacht" (39). During World War II came his last cinematical works into being, among them "Der Weg ins Freie" (41), "Der Gasmann" (41) and "Die grosse Liebe" (42). Besides his activity as an actor Hugo Froelich was also a production manager for his brother's movies. To these movies belong "Die Nacht gehört uns" (29), "Brand in der Oper" (30), "Mädchen in Uniform" (31), "Die - oder keine" (32), "Reifende Jugend" (33) and "Oberwachtmeister Schwenke" (35).
