. The actor and singer Werner Funck began his film career already in 1919 with movies like "Not und Verbrechen" (19), "Die Nacht des Grauens" (19), "Die Gesunkenen" (19), "Manon" (19) and "Die Erbin des Grafen von Monte Christo" (19). In the 20's followed numerous other engagements in well-known productions, among them "Der indische Tod" (20), "Lotte Lore" (21), "Opfer der Liebe" (21), "Ihr schlechter Ruf" (22), "Fridericus Rex, 4. Teil: Schicksalswende" (23) and "Die Schmetterlingsschlacht" (24). Afterwards followed a longer interruption in the film business and Werner Funck concentrated to the theater again. Only in 1937 followed his comeback with "Wenn Frauen schweigen" (37), his next movies were "Der Maulkorb" (38), "Kennwort Machin" (39) and "Robert Koch, der Bekämpfer des Todes" (39). Besides his activity as an actor he also realised some movies as a director
like "Der Mann mit der Puppe" (20), "Vineta" (23) and "Die Funcken von
der Heide" (38) and produced some of them.
