. The actor Karl Graumann joined the film business in 1920 and he became a demanded support actor. His first movie was "Dämon Weib" (20) and in the next years followed other silent movies. To these works belong "Die Frau von morgen" (21), "Der Bagnosträfling" (21), "Der Letzte vom Bärenhof" (21), "Gehetzte Frauen" (23), "Ein besserer Herr" (28), "Marquis d'Eon, der Spion der Pompadour" (28) and "Waterloo" (29). His engagements in front of the camera diminished in the sound film era of the 30s and 40s. To his last cinematical appearances belong "Der Liebesexpress" (31), "Dreizehn Mann und eine Kanone" (38), "Jenny und der Herr im Frack" (41) and "Der unendliche Weg" (43). He had his greatest successes on stage. He impersonated numerouos roles in classic plays and entertained the audience with his play. His stage career began in Freiburg in the middle of the 1890s, later followed engagements at the Stadttheater Bremen and at Hoftheater in Munich. Karl Graumann settled in Munich where he remained for the rest of his stage career. He acted among others at the Staatstheater and at the Staatsschauspiel. Finally he was awarded with the title Staatsschauspieler. Besides his activity as an actor Karl Graumann was also an acting teachter. Karl Graumann was married with Gisela Rosa Maria von Strobl (1886-1945).
