The actress and dancer Lisl Handl began her film career in the middle of the 30s with "Maskerade" (34), "Episode" (35), "Zirkus Saran" (35) and "Silhouetten" (36).

When the National Socialists seized the power in Austria she emigrated to the USA where she was able to continue her film career under the name Poldi Du with small roles.

To her movies in the USA belong "Handmen Also Die!" (43), "Paris After Dark" (43), "The Hitler Gang" (44) and "Resisting Enemy Interrogation" (44).

Lisl Handl was married with the screenwriter Walter Reisch.
