Hanna Henning

. The director, screenwriter and producer Hanna Henning was born as Johanna Julie Adelheid von Koblinski in Cannstatt. She belonged to the very first women who were active behind the camera. She began her career as a singer before she directed her first movie in 1911 with "Weil ich dich liebe" (11) with Ally Kay and Josef Roemer in the leading roles. In the next years she often worked together with these two actors. To her first movies as a director belong "Sein Schutzengel" (15), "Meissner Porzellan" (16), "Bubi ist eifersüchtig" (16), "Im Banne des Schweigens" (16), "Bubi muss Geld verdienen" (16), "Wie Bubi Detektiv wurde" (17), "Mutter" (17), "Unser Krümelchen" (17), "Krümelchens erste Liebe" (18), "Arme kleine Helga" (18), "Die Siebzehnjährigen" (19) and "Seine Liebe war mein Tod" (19). Because of her huge success she already founded her own company "Hanna Henning-Film" in 1915, two years later followed the company "Bubi-Film Henning & Co.". Her last movies as a director came at the beginning of the 20s into being, often realised for other companies. For these movies were well-known actors like Emil Jannings and Fritz Kortner engaged. To these works belong "Das grosse Licht" (20), "Der Todfeind" (20), "Der Dämon von Kolno" (21), "Die Furcht vor dem Weibe" (21) and "Am roten Kliff" (21). Besides her activity as a director she also wrote numerous screenplays and she was also responsible as a producer. Hanna Henning already died at the age of 45 in 1925 because of a pneumonia.
