The actor Rudolf Hilberg took part in numerous silent movies from the middle of the 10s, among the the productions "Das verschwundene Los" (15), "Der Todessprung" (16), "Gräfin de Castro" (16), "Die Retterin" (17), "Die Rose von Dschiandur" (18), "Um Krone und Peitsche" (19) and "Zwei Menschen" (19). He continued his film career in the silent movie era of the 20s successfully and he impersonated roles in "Seelen im Sumpf" (20), "Die Jagd nach dem Tode" (20), "Praschnas Geheimnis" (22), "Millionenschieber" (22), "Was Steine erzählen" (25), "Der Bettler vom Kölner Dom" (27) and "Polizeiberich Überfall" (28). His film career in front of the camera came to an end with the rise of the sound film. His last movie was "Hilfe! Überfall!" (31). With the end of his acting career he took over the job of a production manager for the movies "Das verschwundene Testament" (29), "Vertauschte Gesichter" (29) and "Wer hat Bobby gesehen?" (30), afterwards he became a director assistant for movies like "Eine Frau ohne Bedeutung" (36), "Die Austernlilli" (37), "Der Tanz auf dem Vulkan" (39), "Robert Koch, der Bekämpfer des Todes" (39), "Frau Luna" (41), "Der Verteidiger hat das Wort" (44) and "Die Degenhardts" (44).
