. The sound engineer Adolf Jansen already joined the film business in 1929 when the film was confronted with the first sound technique. In his first year he was engaged for the movies "Der Günstling von Schönbrunn" (29) and "Das Land ohne Frauen" (29). He became a demanded sound engineer in the established sound film era of the 30s and he was occupied for many well-known productions. To his well-known works of those years belong "Die 3 Groschen-Oper" (31), "M" (31) directed by Fritz Lang, "Unter falscher Flagge" (32), "Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse" (33), "Reifende Jugend" (33), "Hanneles Himmelfahrt" (34), "Der alte und der junge König" (35), "Der Kaiser von Kalifornien" (36), "Sein bester Freund" (37) and "Der Tanz auf dem Vulkan" (38). He continued his film career during World War II and he was responsible for the sound for "Schneider Wibbel" (39), "Der Fuchs von Glenarvon" (40), "Friedrich Schiller" (40), "Titanic" (43) and "Der Mann, dem man den Namen stahl" (44). Adolf Jansen remained active as a sound engineer after the war till 1956. To his last cinematical works belong "Träum' nicht, Annette" (49), "Semmelweis - Retter der Mütter" (50), "Das Beil von Wandsbek" (51), "Roman einer jungen Ehe" (52) and "Besondere Kennzeichen: keine" (56).
