The actress Lotte Klein made her stage debut in 1908, later followed engagements in Dresden, Hamburg and Altona.

She also gained a foothold in the film business in the silent movie era and she acted in „Eine Demimonde-Heirat“ (20) and „Lottchens Heirat“ (20).

As a Jew she was no longer able to work in Germany from 1933 and she retired from the public life.
Only when she was in Switzerland she acted in front of the camera again for the production „Der letzte Postillon vom St. Gotthard“ (41).

She was able to continue her stage career after World War II and she appeared regularly at the Thalia theater where she remained active till to her death.

She also acted in movies again, to these productions belong „Das Fräulein und der Vagabund“ (49), „Mädchen mit Beziehungen“ (50), „Keine Angst vor grossen Tieren“ (53), „Falsch verbunden“ (55), „Das Geld liegt auf der Strasse“ (58), „Das Haus voller Rätsel“ (60) and an episode of the serial „Die merkwürdigen Erlebnisse des Hansjürgen Weidlich: Unternehmen Tante“ (63).

Lotte Klein was married with the actor and director Hanns Fischer.
