1889 - 1950
The actor Alexander Köckert grew up in an artistic environment. His father and his grandfather were both actors. Soon the young Alexander Köckert also appeared on stages.
Besides other theaters he was especially active for the Prussian Theater in Berlin where he impersonated numerous roles for 25 years.
He only appeared seldom in front of the camera, to his first productions belong the silent movies „Die Kwannon von Okadera“ (20) and „Das goldene Netz“ (21).
In the sound film era of the 30s followed few mor movies like „Die nackte Wahrheit“ (32), „Ein Volksfeind“ (37) and „Spiel im Sommerwind“ (38).
His last cinematical work came in 1942 into being with „Der grosse König“ (42), two years later he also ended his stage career.
