. The screenwriter and author Hans Kyser finished his study for Germanistik, Philosophy and History before he began his career as an author and poet. His first novel was "Der Blumenhiob" (09), it followed other books and stage plays like "Medusa" (10), "Titus und die Jüdin" (11), "Charlotte Stieglitz" (15), "Das Aprikosenbäumchen" (20), "Tango Argentino" (25), "Columbus" (29), "Schicksal um York" (29), "Das Gestmahl des Domitian" (29), "Abschied von der Liebe" (29), "Es brennt an der Grenze" (32), "Rembrandt vor Gericht" (32), "Schillers deutscher Traum" (35), "Der grosse Kapitän" (35), "Molière spielt" (36) and "Wolken am Horizont" (37). Hans Kyser also worked as a war correspondent in Russia during World War I. After the war he was active in the management of the S. Fischer publishing. He joined the film business at the beginning of the 20s where he wrote the screenplay for some notable productions. To these movies belong "Nathan der Weise" (22), "Helena" (24), "Gräfin Donelli" (24), "Manon Lescaut" (26), "Faust" (26) and "Luther" (28). For "Luther" he was also responsible as the director. In the 30s foIlowed only few mor screenplays for the movies "Der Student von Prag" (35) and "Der Kurier des Zaren" (36). Besides his activity for the film he also wrote some radio plays.
