.
. The screenwriter Adolf Lantz began his career at the theater where he was the manager of theaters like the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Berlin and the Theater am Zoo in Berlin. He joined the film business in 1915 and he wrote his first screenplays for movies like "Kehre zurück! Alles vergeben!" (15), "Der Katzensteg" (15) and "Der Kampf um die Ehe" (19). Adolf Lantz became a busy screenwriter in the 20s and he wrote the scripts for the productions "Die grosse und die kleine Welt" (21), "Tabea, stehe auf!" (22), "Ein Glas Wasser" (23), "Mensch gegen Mensch" (24), "Die Moral der Gasse" (25), "Zopf und Schwert" (26), "Staatsanwalt Jordan" (26), "Madame wünscht keine Kinder" (26), "Dagfin" (26), "Abwege" (28) and "Jugendtragödie" (29). The transition to the sound film was no problem for him but the political change in Germany finished his film career. After the screenplays "Ihre Majestät die Liebe" (31), "Elisabeth von Österreich" (31), "Rasputin, Dämon der Frauen" (32) and "Eine Nacht im Paradies" (32) he had to leave Germany because of the National Socialists. Afterwards he only realised the screenplays "Sonnenstrahl" (33) and "Kochaj tylko mnie" (35) before he went to England where he earned his living as a translator of British authors.
