The actor Emil Lind made his screen debut with "Die Befreiung der Schweiz und die Sage vom Wilhelm Tell" (13). In this movie he impersonated the role of Heinrich von Melchthal. He appeared regular in front of the camera in the next years. To his movies of the 10s belong "Und wandern sollst Du ruhelos" (15), as the humpback in "Der Fluch des Nuri" (18), "Es werde Licht! 3. Teil" (18), "Dida Ibsens Geschichte" (18) as father Ibsen, "Die Arche" (19) and "Die letzten Menschen" (19). His last cinematical works came in the 20s into being. To these productions belong "Marionetten des Teufels" (20), "I.N.R.I." (23), "Überflüssige Menschen" (26), as defender "Mata Hari, die Rote Tänzerin" (27), "Die Weber" (27) and "Bigamie" (27). He retired from the film business with the rise of the sound film. Besides his activity as an actor Emil Lind also realised few movies as a director like "Der Todesjockey" (15) and "Die letzte Galavorstellung" (16). For the last mentioned movie he also wrote the screenplay.
