. The actor Franz Loskarn first learned the profession of a goldsmith before he took singing and acting lessons by Viktor Schwanneke. But before he could start his acting career World War I broke out and he served for the army. Only after the war Franz Loskarn could make his stage debut in Ingolstadt at the end of 1918. In the next years followed engagements at different stages in Munich where he soon became a popular actor. Besides his activity as an actor he also took over the direction at the Konrad-Dreher-Bühne. Franz Loskarn made his film debut in 1927 with "Almenrausch und Edelweiss"
(28) and in the following years he mainly was engaged for support roles
in movies located in rural scenery.
The sound film of the 30s and 40s offered him again numerous engagements in productions like "Wenn die Abendglocken läuten" (30), "Ehestreik" (35), "Weiberregiment" (36), "Der Jäger von Fall" (36), "Gold in New Frisco" (39), "Das sündige Dorf" (40), "Blutsbrüderschaft" (41), "Peterle" (43) and "Johann" (43). He continued his career at the theater and for the film after the war, among others he took part in the movies "Ein Herz schlägt für dich" (49), "Schicksal am Berg" (50), "Schuss um Mitternacht" (50), "Aufruhr im Paradies" (50), "Die fidele Tankstelle" (50), "Der Klosterjäger" (53), "Ehestreik" (53), "Schloss Hubertus" (54), "Das Schweigen im Walde" (55), "Die Geierwally" (56), "Zwei Bayern in St. Pauli" (56), "...und nichts als die Wahrheit" (58) and "Bei der blonden Kathrein" (59). Afterwards his engagements in front of the camera diminished. After
the productions "Lausbubengeschichten" (64) and "Der Attentäter" (69)
it finally followed with the serial "Königlich Bayerisches Amtsgericht"
(69-72) a TV productions which brought him huge popularity in the role
of the clerk Haberkorn.
