Edith Meinhard

. The actress Edith Meinhard was born as Herma Ruth Edith Kötteritzsch in Berlin. Her mother was the actress Anna Kötteritzsch, her stepfather was the actor Rudolf Meinhard-Jünger. She already joined the film business at the age of 20 and she appeared in the silent movies "Ritter der Nacht" (28), "Männer ohne Beruf" (29) and the classic "Tagebuch einer Verlorenen" (29). She became a busy support actress in the 30s and she impersonated roles in feature movies and short film. To her well-known works of those years belong "Voruntersuchung" (31), "Rasputin, Dämon der Frauen" (32), "Die unsichtbare Front" (33), "Knockout" (35), "Der Favorit der Kaiserin" (36), "Man spricht über Jacqueline" (37), "Grossalarm" (38), "Der Fall Deruga" (38), "Der Florentiner Hut" (39) and "Hallo Janine!" (39). Her last cinematical works came during wartime of the 40s into being like "Weisser Flieder" (40), "Jenny und der Herr im Frack" (41) and "Ein Man mit Grundsätzen?" (43).
