. The production designer Walter Reimann was a painter who was able to gain a foothold in the film business thank to his artistic talent. He created his first scenery for the movie "Die Pest in Florenz" (19). He became a demanded production designer in the 20s and he took part in some huge productions, above all "Das Cabinet des Dr. Caligari" (20) which he created together with Hermann Warm and Walter Röhrig. To his other well-known silent movies belong "Algol" (20), "Hans im Glück" (21), "Sterbende Völker" (22), "Der falsche Dimitri" (22), "Nora" (23), "Der Hahn im Korb" (25), "Die Abenteuer eines Zehnmarkscheines" (26), "Der letzte Walzer" (27), "Alraune" (28) and the American production "Eternal Love" (29) directed by Ernst Lubitsch. Walter Reimann only got seldom the possibility to demonstrate his talent again during the 30s. As an art director he worked for "Die Frau ohne Nerven" (30), "Unheimliche Geschichten" (32), "Rasputin, Dämon der Frauen" (32), "Theodor Körner" (33), "Die Herren vom Maxim" (33) and "Das Mädchen Irene" (36). Afterwards he only took part in few short movies like "Karo König" (36) and "Achtung, Kurve!" (36).
