Franz Schwaiger

. The actor and director Franz Schwaiger made his stage debut at the beginning of the 1900s and his enagements led him via smaller theaters to cities like Vienna, Salzburg, Hamburg and Berlin. He was not only active as a stage actor but also realised some plays as a director. He entered the film business in Berlin and he impersonated several roles in silent movies like „Das Töpfchen“ (13), „Das rosa Pantöffelchen“ (13), „Das Liebesbarometer“ (14), „Fräulein Piccolo“ (15) and „Der Prälat von Caldore“ (15). Dorrit Weixler was a regular co-star and most of his movies were directed by Franz Hofer. With the outbreak of World War II he had to serve in the army and was seriously wounded at the throat which handicapped him till to his premature death.
