. The actress Maria Stadler began her film career in 1936 with "Die Jugendsünde" (36) and was able to perform other support roles in the next years. To her well-known movies till the end of war belong "IA in Oberbayern" (37), "Der Briefträger" (39), "Der scheinheilige Florian" (41) and "Wetterleuchten um Barbara" (41). She continued her film career after the war and she often took part in entertaining movies with regional background, but also other genres were represented in her repertoire. She appeared in down-to-earth support roles for productions like "Ehestreik" (53), "Durch die Wälder durch die Auen" (56), "Zwei Bayern im Urwald" (57), "Kleiner Mann - ganz gross" (57) and "Die Nackte und der Satan" (59). Television became a more important part in her career of the 60s and 70s, productions for the big screen became seldom. To her cinematical works of those years belong "Der verkaufte Grossvater" (62), "Jagdszenen aus Niederbayern" (69), an episode of the serial "Die seltsamen Methoden des Franz Josef Wanninger: Zwangsvorstellung" (70), "Hilfe, die Verwandten kommen" (71), an episode of the serial "Tatort: Münchner Kindl" (72), "Sternsteinhof" (76), "Zwischengleis" (78) and "Die Farbe des Himmels" (79). Maria Stadler remained active in her profession till few years before her death. Her last appearances were for "Die tote Hand" (80), the serial "Die Rumplhanni" (81) and an episode of the serial "Meister Eder und sein Pumuckl: Spuk in der Werkstatt" (82).
