. The cinematographer Adolf Otto Weitzenberg got an education as a photographer and he was active in this field till to the 10s. Finally he entered the film business where he learnt his abilities as an assistant of other cinematographer for the time being. Adolf Otto Weitzenberger became a main cinematographer himself from 1917 and in his first years he shot the movies "Der Saratogakoffer" (17), "Der goldene Pol" (18), "Ferdinand Lassalle" (18), "Die Gespenster von Garden Hall "(19) and "Das Spielzeug der Zarin" (19). The height of his career followed in the 20s and he was responsible for the camera for numerous silent movies. To his well-known works of those years belong "Johannes Goth" (20), "Der Richter von Zalamea" (20), "Das Haupt des Juarez" (20), "Toteninsel" (21), "Lucifer" (22), "Der Mann mit der eisernen Maske" (23), "Die Biene Maja und ihre Abenteuer" (26), "Kreuzzug des Weibes" (26), "Die Vorbestraften" (27) and "Flucht aus der Hölle" (28). During the sound film of the 30s Adolf Otto Weitzenberger only realised few more feature movies, normally he was engaged now for documentaries and short movies. To his last cinematical works belong "Mieter Schulze gegen alle" (32), "Schleppzug M 17" (33), "Ein schwerer Junge" (34) and "Der Kurier des Zaren" (36).
