. The actress Dorothea Wieck began her film career already in 1926 with the movie "Die kleine Inge und ihre drei Väter" (26), it followed the silent movies "Ich hab mein Herz in Heidelberg verloren" (26), Klettermaxe" (27) and "Der Fremdenlegionär" (28). Her breakthrough followed with the talkies where she had a great success with the movie "Mädchen in Uniform" (31). Dorothea Wieck took part in the well-known productions "Gräfin Mariza" (32), "Teilnehmer antwortet nicht" (32), "Trenck" (32), "Der Student von Prag" (35) and "Die gelbe Flagge" (37) in the next years. She only appeared seldom in front of the camera during wartime, her attention turned to the theater again. To her few movies of those years belong "Andreas Schlüter" (42) and "Der grüne Salon" (44). After the war she dedicated to the theater first. In the 50's followed interesting support roles in movies like "Herz der Welt" (52), "Ein Mann auf dem Drahtseil" (53), "Das Fräulein von Scuderi" (55), "Roman einer Siebzehnjährigen" (55), "Anastasia - Die letzte Zarentochter" (56), "Zeit zu leben und Zeit zu sterben" (58) and "Menschen im Hotel" (59). After that she retired from the film business more or less. To her last
movies belong "Die Schachnovelle" (60) and two episodes of the TV serial
"Der Kommissar: Toter Herr im Regen" (69) and "Der Kommissar: Tod eines
Hippiemädchens" (73).
