. The actor Josef Zeilbeck was active at the theater in the first place. He only acted rarely in front of the camera. He impersonated his first role in Paul Verhoeven's „Salonwagen E 417“ (39) with Paul Hörbiger, Käthe von Nagy, Curd Jürgens, Maria Nicklisch and Josef Dahmen. His last cinematical works came at the beginning of the 40s into being with „Menschen im Sturm“ (41) at the side of Gustav Diessl, Olga Tschechowa, Hannelore Schroth, Siegfried Breuer and Kurt Meisel as well as „Eine kleine Sommermelodie“ (44) directed by Volker von Collande with Irene von Meyendorff, Curd Jürgens, Erik Ode, Sonja Ziemann and Volker von Collande. Josef Zeilbeck died on November 23, 1943 in Berlin due to the effects of World War II. |
