1888 - 1970

She conquered the still new big screen in 1912 and soon became a popular star of the 10's, among others with a serial with the figure "Universal Ike".

To her first movies belong "When the Heart Calls" (12), "Making a Man of Her" (12), "The Boomerang" (13), "The Quakerness" (13) and "The Invisible Foe" (13).

The next two years marked the height of her cinematical career and Louise Glaum took part in numerous productions. 
Successful movies of those years were "Out in the Rain" (14), "Universal Ike and the School Belle" (14), "Universal Ike and the Vampire" (14), "The Panther" (14), "In the Land of the Otter" (15) "The Toast of Death" (15) - her first feature movie, "The Renegade" (15), "The Reward" (15) and "The Forbidden Adventure" (15).

Afterwards her engagement in front of the camera diminished, still she took part in some well-known movies.
To these movies belong "The Three Musketeers" (16), "Somewhere in France" (16), "Hell's Hinges" (16), "The Wolf Woman" (16), "Golden Rule Kate" (17), "Wedlock" (18), "The Goddess of Lost Lake" (18) and "Sahara" (19).

Her last movies came in the 20's into being, for example"Love Madness" (20), "The Leopard Woman" (20), "Greater Than Love" (21) and "Fifty-Fifty" (25).

Later she concentrated to theater where she appeared for many years. Beside it she also wrote own plays like "The Web" and in 1935 she opened the "Louise Glaum Playhouse" in Los Angeles.

Louise Glaum was among others married with the director Harry J. Edwards.
