The actress Gisela von Collande took acting lessons at the Reinhardt school in Berlin in 1932. She launched a successful theater and film career, later she also worked often for radio plays.
She made her film debut with "Marie, die Magd" (36) and in the following
years followed several engagements in movies likeu "Der zerbrochene Krug"
(37), "Jugend" (39) and "Der Schritt vom Wege" (39).
She was able to go on from her earlier career after the war und appeared till her early death in well-known movies like "Sündige Grenze" (51), "Alibi" (55), "Urlaub auf Ehrenwort" (55), "Der Stern von Afrika" (57) and "An heiligen Wassern" (60).
Gisela von Collande was married with the actor Josef Dahmen. She was
killed in an accident in Pforzheim.
