Robert Reinert

. The director, producer and screenwriter Robert Reinert already wrote his first screenplay in 1906 for "Der Weg zur Sonne" (06), if followed "Krieg" (07). He worked regular in the film business from 1915 and he first wrote again numerous screenplays like "Der Geisterseher" (15), "Der Pfad der Sünde" (16), "Das Wunder der Madonna" (16), "Der Trödler von Prag" (16), the international success "Homunculus" (16), "Ahasver" (17), "Der Herr der Welt" (18) and "Opium" (19). Robert Reinert also realised many movies as a director from 1916, among them the productions "Für den Ruhm des Geliebten" (16), "Das Haus der Leidenschaften" (16), "Der Weg des Todes" (16), "Der Fluch der Sonne" (17), "Ahasver" (17), "Der Herr der Welt" (18), "Nerven" (19) - which strucked a nerve of that time corresponding to the title and became forbidden partially - and "Opium" (19). In the 20s he only directed two more movies with "Sterbende Völker" (22) and "Die vier letzten Sekunden des Quidam Uhl" (24) but he continued to write screenplays for movies like "Sterbende Völker" (22), "Gräfin Plättmamsell" (26), "Jugendrausch" (27), "Die Apachen von Paris" (27) and "Der geheimnisvolle Spiegel" (28). Robert Reinert was also a producer of movies since 1917 and in the movie "Das Haus der Leidenschaften" (16) he also appeared as an actor in front of the camera. Robert Reinert was married with the actress Thea Steinbrecher. He already died in 1928 at the age of only 56.
