. The actress Thea Steinbrecher began her professional career as a saleswoman before taking acting lessons in Munich. She made her acting debut at the Munich Volksttheater in 1908, followed by an engagement at the Munich Schauspielhaus in 1912. Shortly thereafter, she launched her film career with her first film "Ach, wie ist's möglich dann..." (13), which was followed by other early silent movies like "Das Heldenmädchen aus den Vogesen" (14), "Seine schwache Stunde" (16), "Der Jäger von Fall" (18), "Die nicht sterben dürfen" (19) and "Gewitter im Mai" (19). At the beginning of the 20's she made her last cinematical works with "Der Ochsenkrieg" (20), "Der Mann im Salz" (21), "Die Trutze von Trutzberg" (22) and "Sterbende Völker" (22). In later years, Thea Steinbrecher wrote radio plays, and articles by her also appeared in the Bayrische Funkwoche. Thea Steinbrecher was married with the director Robert Reinert.
