Max Wogritsch

. The actor Max Wogritsch began his career as a musician and he appeared as a cellist. During his stay in Switzerland he made his stage debut at the Zürcher Stadttheater in 1960. In the next years followed engagements in other cities like Düsseldorf and Berlin. He already joined the film business in 1911 where he took part in the silent movies "Halbwelt" (11), "Zouza" (11), "Die Sünden der Väter" (13) and "Ketten der Vergangenheit" (14). In the second half of the 10s followed the productions "Gräfin Maruschka" (17), "Die Kleptomanin" (18) and "Im Rausche der Sinne" (19). His most busy time in front of the camera came at the beginning of the 20s into being and he appeared in the movies "Um der Liebe Willen" (20), "Präsident Barrada" (20), "Im Banne des Andern" (20), "Die Nächte des Cornelis Brouwer" (21), "Die Ehe der Hedda Olsen oder Die brennende Akrobatin" (21), "Der Roman einer armen Sünderin" (22) and "Tatjana" (23). Afterwards his career drew to a close. He acted in the silent movies "Dona Juana" (28), "Ungarische Rhapsodie" (28) and "Manolescu - Der König der Hochstapler" (29) but with the rise of the sound film his film career ended. Max Wogritsch was already active as a production manager since the 20s too, among others for the movies "Tabea, stehe auf!" (22), "Der Evangelimann" (24), "Die Todesschleife" (28), "Die wunderbare Lüge der Nina Petrowna" (29) and "Der unsterbliche Lump" (30). Afterwards Max Wogritsch was engaged by Tobis as an employee for the audio engineering department.
